Gig tickets? there’s an app for that

O2 have launched a new iPhone app called Priority, which ties into its Priority Tickets service.

The app, which is free, lets people buy tickets to gigs and events at over 1,500 venues around the UK up to 48 hours before general release.

If you’re a non-iPhone owners then you’ll have to wait a bit. According to O2’s head of consumer mobile Jonathan Earle.

“Having launched on the iPhone we now plan to roll out the app to other platforms including Android and WebOS.”

According to O2. “The O2 Priority Tickets app will make it even easier for customers to keep up-to-date with the latest presales and they can even click through to purchase tickets directly from their iPhone. Customers can also set their preferences for their favourite artists, venues and cities and then get notified through the app as soon Priority Tickets are available.”

Here at Business Mobile we wouldn’t be seen dead at a gig where O2 users were allowed priority entry.  And just to prove it we’ll be down at the front of the Pop Group gig in Islington on Saturday, so come and say hello if you’re there..

The Priority Tickets iPhone app is now available to download through the App Store here.
