Nokia accounts for 47% of mobile ad impressions

Research from mobile ad network InMobi shows Nokia accounts for 48% of mobile ad impressions

Nokia  (including Symbian) accounts for 47.4% of global* consumer mobile ad impressions in July 2010, according to the first metrics report from mobile ad network InMobi.

Nokia’s 9.661 billion impressions is made up of  5.235 billion impressions from Nokia devices (25.7% of the global total), with Symbian devices generating 4.498 billion (22.1%).

Apple’s iPhone comes third in the OS rankings with a market share of 8.2% (1.656 billion impressions), Android is in fourth position with 3.5% from 711 million impressions, with RIM tagging along in fifth position with 2.8% (570 million impressions).

The Apple iPhone is the leading device worldwide with just short of a billion impressions from the iPhone alone (4.9% of the total ad impressions worldwide), and 400 million from the iPod Touch (1.9% of the total ad impressions worldwide).

iPhone results has North America dominating with a 63.6% from the 1.4 billion impressions, with Europe some way behind with 24.3%, and Asia in third place with 11%.
