Carphone Warehouse are to bundle the Amazon Kindle with certain mobile phones.
Amazon have now added Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy UK, to it’s long list of retailers already selling the Kindle. Carphone and Best Buy deals are an extension of a deals the two companies started in the US last September and they now join other retailers like Tesco (and Tesco Direct), John Lewis, Currys and PC World.
Carphone Warehouse will be offering the WiFi model of the Kindle for free on certain two-year contracts and on selected handsets – we’re not sure which as yet – the 3G model will also be bundled but there will be an additional £15 cost.
The retailers – apart from Carphone Warehouse – will be selling the Kindle at the same prices as Amazon’s own site: £111 for the WiFi-only model, and £152 for the model that includes free 3G connectivity.
