Apple is expected to reveal the first fruit from its purchase of ad network Quattro. The new personalised, mobile advertising system humourlessly described as the iAd by newswire Online Media Daily is expected to be officially unveiled to the madmen of Madison Avenue on April 7th.
The ad platform has been described as “revolutionary” and “our next big thing” by Apple chief Steve Jobs, according to executives familiar with the plan.
As usual Apple have released absolutely nothing about the platform. Analysts are speculating that it could be built on Quattro, but as the sale only went through in January we’d be very surprised if it was, especially with words like revolutionary being banded about.
We’re happy to wait and ignore the speculation until it’s released, or until we can come up with an equally snappy name to the iAd, until then IveAdenough.
