Viewsonic to launch Android tablet device

Viewsonic to launch a 7 inch iPad alike table based on the Android OS

ViewSonic is to preview and Android based tablet device at the IFA 2010 show Sept 3-8th 2010.

Viewsonic will be launching a 7” Android tablet, an eBook reader,  as well as an “affordable” 3D camcorder, and a portable 3D TV.

The ViewPad 7, a 7” Android tablet with 3G and wi-fi connectivity, with access to thousands of applications and front and back-facing cameras will be previewed for the first time in Europe. The ViewPad 7 also features assisted GPS, a Micro SD card slot, Bluetooth, G-Sensor and USB connectivity. ViewSonic will also be previewing a new Intel-based 10” tablet with dual boot Microsoft and Android operating systems.

3D to your mobile coming this year or next year

The new 3D products include a lightweight handheld 3D digital camcorder capable of recording at 720p, with an integrated 3D preview display and an SRP of around £199. ViewSonic will also be demonstrating its handheld 3D TV, that will allow anyone to watch 3D content on the go. Viewsonic will also launch a 3D digital camera and a 3D digital photo frame.

In addition to the new tablet range, ViewSonic will also show off the VEB625, a touch screen eBook reader with wi-fi connectivity.

Here at Business Mobile we believe that 3D is coming to mobile, and to iPads,  it’s just a question of when, and it’s not going to be in two years or even five years, it’s this year or next year.
