US mobile ad house Millenial Media has seen phenomenal growth in Android requests, with 996% growth since January 2010.
Millenial Media’s monthly US Mobile Mix survey for August 2010 continued to see rapid Android and iPad growth on their network in August.

The Apple iOS was the leading device manufacturer on the network, and has been since September 2009, where it accounted for 29% share of all device impressions on the network. The Apple iPhone alone accounted for 27.67% of the total market.
Android devices were the second largest Smartphone OS on the network, and increase of 7% month-over-month to a 26% share of Smartphone OS impressions on the network. Android ad requests increased 39% month-over-month, and since January, Android has grown by a staggering 996%.

Motorola moved up to the third largest device manufacturer on the network. Mostly due to the increased usage of the Motorola Droid, which moved up to the number two position in the August Top 20 Mobile Phones list with more than 9% share of ad impressions.
Smartphone impression share increased 3% month-over-month, and nor represents over half of the total market with 51% of the US market.
