Orange has launched it’s iPhone 4 plans and they’re offering an unlimited browsing capacity of 750Mb per month on both internet and wi-fi through BT. Why don’t they just come clean and say 750Mb per month? This is NOT unlimited in any shape or form. Additionally they also fail to say what the costs will be over 750Mb the terms and conditions state this
“If you go over this limit, we (Orange) may monitor your usage and withdraw the offer from your account. But 750MB is an awful lot to play with. So hopefully it won’t come to that.”
We’re shocked “750MB is an awful lot to play with. So hopefully it won’t come to that” what sort of language is this?
The Business, Monthly and PAYG pricing models are all revealed on the site and it’s as clear as mud, there are so many options that we suspect they may confuse most customers even before they start.
Pay monthly costs start from £30 a month and go up to £75 per month on 24 months and range from £35 to £75 per month on 18 month contracts.
To get a free iPhone 4 on a 24 month tarriff you will have to shell out £75 a month and even then you only get a 8GB model a 16Gb model will still set you back £29.
On a £30 a month 24 month contract you will need to pay out £169 for a 16Gb and £269 for a 32Gb. On a £35 a month 18 month contract you will need to pay out £229 for a 16Gb and £319 for a 32Gb
Tethering starts at £5 per month for 3GB per month.
