Subsidised iPads appear on Three

Just £199 for 16Gb iPad on Three

Three, has now officially launched their subsidised iPads, and the pricing is very keen.

The Three offer is in addition to the SIM-Only offer that it’s had since the iPad launch, and it’s only available in store, and not in all stores, the website lists around 123 stores around the UK – including Northern Ireland.

The iPads are all on 24 month contracts and the cheapest cost is £199 rising to £349.

The cheapest offer is for a 16Gb iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G, which will cost you £199 upfront, with a £25 per month, 15Gb per month data allowance, which would normally set you back £529 on a SIM-Only plan.

Next up is a 32Gb iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G, which will cost you £249 upfront, with a £25 per month, 15Gb per month data allowance, which would normally set you back £599 on a SIM-Only plan.

Lastly a 64Gb iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G, will cost you £349 upfront, with a £25 per month, 15Gb per month data allowance, which would normally set you back £699 on a SIM-Only plan.

From the above prices it seems that the 16Gb is about the best offer, most people will be quite happy with 16Gb, but if you want more the price seems to be about £50 per 8Gb of extra storage. 15Gb a month also seems more than generous, and it’ll be a very unusual person who has to pay the 10p per MB if the inclusive allowance is exceeded.

“We are delighted to launch new pricing options for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G, in addition to our competitive SIM-only plans for iPad in the UK,” said Marc Allera, sales and marketing director at Three. “Our network is the largest 3G network in the country and came first in the two most recent YouGov surveys of Mobile Broadband customers – ensuring our customers enjoy the very best mobile performance on iPad.”
